Facilities
Our branches are well equipped with separate theatres and inhalation anaesthesia to perform all routine veterinary surgeries. All the branch hospitals have air-conditioned wards.

  • At our Bellville branch Dr Ian Campbell is our veterinarian with a special interest in surgery. Here, orthopaedics, arthroscopy and spinal surgery is routinely done. The Bellville branch has two theatres, as well as a digital radiography (X-ray) department.ards.
  • The centrally located ICU ward is equipped with a defibrillator and dedicated ICU ventilators for patients struggling with breathing problems. ICU monitors assess patients' vital signs closely and are supervised throughout the night by the on-duty vet.
  • Our hydrotherapy pool, which can accommodate large dog breeds, is also located at the Bellville branch.
  • Staffed with a registered veterinary lab technologist, TAH Bellville has its own blood laboratory that uses human reference laboratory machines. The lab also offers the advantage of pre-anaesthetic blood screens, plus moment-to-moment blood tests and monitoring on critically ill patients.
  • TAH Kenridge has special heated snake/tortoise cages, heating pads and facilities for special anaesthetic requirements for reptiles, fish and exotics.
