  • Check out the latest range of matching collars and leashes for your pets at all TAH branches - for cats, puppies, small, medium and large dogs.

  • Vomiting, diarrhoea and inappetance (not eating) are the most common veterinary emergencies. Consult your vet if your pet suffers from any of these symptoms.
  • Flea medications are a great way to control fleas. However, only use the product  as directed. Follow the safety guidelines and NEVER EVER give dog flea medications to cats.
  • When your pets are sick, never give them ANY medication without speaking to your veterinarian. This is really dangerous. Many over-the-counter human medications are toxic to dogs and cats in relatively small doses.
  • One of the worst things pet owners can do is to give their pets scraps from the table food - that nice bacon rind, a piece of chicken skin, or a bread crust. But table food often leads to gastrointestinal (GI) upset.  This is really common. Rather give them a veterinary-approved biscuit treat.
  • Always keep a close eye on your pet(s) - not just how cute they are. Notice if he/she is alert, if the eyes are bright and shiny, if he/she is eating and drinking well, and if he/she urinates normally and has normal stools. Please see your veterinarian if you notice any abnormalities.
